We’re not your average event hire crew. We’re the ones who show up with a van full of good vibes, great gear, and an unshakeable belief that every event deserves to be unforgettable — for all the right reasons.
This business started as a dream (and a lot of caffeine) back in 2018 with our first baby: Happy Times Photo Booth Hire. From there, we slowly added more magic — a game here, an arbour there — and before we knew it, we had a full-blown hire business bursting with character, colour, and charisma. Enter: Happy Times Hire.
We believe planning a party should feel exciting, not exhausting. Our goal?
To make your event look amazing, feel effortless, and be remembered long after the last balloon pops.
Susan is the heart, hustle, and creative force behind the scenes (and occasionally behind the photo booth). She’s been obsessed with parties since planning her first Halloween at 16, and she’s all about the small details that make big moments.
Nik is the muscle, the tech brain, and the fun machine whisperer. If it’s got buttons, plugs in, or lights up — he’s your guy. He moved to Melbourne from Sydney over a decade ago and never looked back (except to check if he turned the popcorn machine off).
Together? We make a pretty great team. (And yes, we still high-five after every successful bump-in.)

We’re based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, where Susan grew up and still calls home. While we’re expanding across Melbourne, our roots here run deep — and local love is part of what keeps our business thriving.
